Starting a Kickstart

So, I've decided that it is time to get some of the projects I started with this company done, so Digital Fruit will be starting a couple of Kickstarters to fund two video games and a few videos.

The first will be for an old-school RPG tenatively titled Epic.  The second is a Japanese style dating sim. And the third will be for a series of animated shorts.

Work will start again immediately on the two videogames, but no serious progress will be possible until the funding is aquired.  The animations will be put on the back burner until funds are available.

Once again, thanks to those of you who already support us, and we look forward to comments and input from everyone.

Dredging Up the Dead!

     Ha!  You thought I had forgotten!  But I now have a full second of test animation for the Eeble cartoon.  I'm also introducing two new characters into the Eeble cast, Mr. Carrot and Mrs. Parsnip.  Only Mrs. Parsnip will be making an appearance in this first cartoon, but as Eeble has an accumulated history in my creative works, I'm sure I'll crop up using him again.
     So, as a teaser, here is a sketch frame from the parts I've been working on.

Updates Galour

     I realize that I've been all business and no heart.  So here is an update on the goals and workings of Digital Fruit's project list.
     Epic:  We are currently reworking the story line and working up more images for use in the actual game, not just promotional or conceptual.  I'll have some new colored frames up on Picasa soon, so make sure to check the blog.  I'm also trying to get some of the music started for this, but that might be a little premature, as not much of the game is done, and audio is usually the last thing applied to these projects.
     Eeble cartoon:  I'm still trying to figure out just what I'm going to do with this one.  Its a fun learning experience, but I'm not sure where to classify how far in development it is.
     Power Production:  Chugging right along.  I'm still working with the controller circuits so I don't blow something up, but everything is going fine.  And I've bumped up the voltage of the test model to nine volts, meaning at peak power it can power most standard, battery-operated devices in peoples homes, or at least charge the batteries of said devices.
     Computer Support:  We've had no complaints in this department so far.
     Web-Site Design:  I recently updated the Friendly Paws Grooming website.  It has a lot more presence now, not looking so visually simplistic, and I'm working up the javasript needed to make all of the working parts smooth and enjoyable.

Maybe-a-Little-Too Ambitious Project

     So as I sit here typing away at this blog in the wee hours of the morning, I'm drawing.  This is amazing because it is something I haven't really done spontaneously for quite a few years.  And what I'm drawing suprises me even more.  Story-boards.  As in I think I'm on the verge of making a short, hand-animated feature using a logo character I drew up in two minutes to appease a college professor in a web-programming class when I was still in school.  Really strange the places our minds take us when we are tired.
     I've just about finished the first two pages worth of story boards, and I'm thinking that I will use this as the very first attempt at Digital Fruit producing digital video.  Maybe I'll put it up on You-Tube or something, you know, let the whole world see my first amateur steps towards film making.  Join the rest of humanity that way I guess.  But I will scan these in here in a few seconds and post them on my Picasa account in the hopes that they will appear on the blog tomorrow.  I'll try and keep the world up to date on the progress of this slightly ambitious project, and maybe I'll even go so far as to write a little music and put some audio into this thing, really do it right.  So, this is the end of tonight's midnight ramblings.  Later
